Disclosure: We make PalmReading.pro, one of the six tools on this list. To keep this comparison useful anyway, every fact about another tool comes from that tool's own App Store listing, pricing page or privacy policy, linked in Sources, and we say where another tool is the better pick. Checked on October 15, 2026; prices and policies change, so confirm on the linked page before you pay.
"Best AI palm reading app" means different things depending on what you want: a native iPhone app with daily predictions, a quick free reading in the browser, both hands read together, or a palm reading bundled with astrology. This guide compares six options people actually use for photo-based palm reading and tells you which one fits which need.

How We Compared
We compared each tool on the things you can check before you hand over a photo or a card number:
- Price model: one-time payment, subscription, or per-minute.
- Free tier: what you see without paying, and whether you need an account first.
- Platform: native app, or works in a browser without installing anything.
- Input: one palm or both.
- Palm photo privacy: where the photo goes, how long it is kept, and whether it can be used for training or research, taken from each privacy policy.
What we did not do: we have not yet run every app on the same palm photo and scored the readings side by side, and we can't independently verify any tool's accuracy, including our own. Palm reading is interpretive, so "accuracy" mostly comes down to whether the tool finds your lines clearly in the photo. When we add a same-photo test, this page will say so and show the results.
The 6 Options, Reviewed
Palmist: best native iPhone app with daily predictions
Palmist by Global Sense is the most established palm reading app on the App Store, rated 4.1 from about 4,500 ratings at the time of checking. Besides palm line readings it offers an AI chat, daily predictions, biorhythm charts and compatibility checks, in seven languages.
- Price: free to install with a 3-day trial of "All Functions," then $7.99 a week or $14.99 a month. A single "Hand Reading" in-app purchase is listed at $4.99.
- Privacy: its privacy policy says palm photos are stored on its servers if you leave the "store photos" option checked, kept until you remove them, and can be used for research and app improvement unless you uncheck that option.
- Pick it if: you want an iPhone app you'll open daily and you're fine with a subscription. Skip it if: you want one reading without a recurring charge.
PalmHD: best for palm reading plus tarot and horoscopes
PalmHD bundles photo palm reading with tarot spreads, daily to yearly horoscopes, zodiac compatibility and paid live psychic chat. It is rated 4.0 from about 1,900 ratings on the App Store, and an Android version is listed on Google Play as PalmistryHD.
- Price: free to install; in-app purchases range from $7.99 to $49.99, with "Premium Palm Reading" at $11.99 and live chat credit sold by the minute.
- Privacy: the App Store privacy label says device identifiers are used to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- Pick it if: you want one app for palm, tarot and horoscopes. Skip it if: you only want a palm reading.
ThePalmReading.com: best for reading both palms in the browser
ThePalmReading.com asks you to upload both palms: the left read as "your soul," the right as "your reality." No account is needed for the free reading.
- Price: free 2-section reading; the full 7-section reading is $2.99 one-time (₹99 in India), with an optional $0.99 add-on question. The paid report includes a PDF download.
- Privacy: its privacy policy says palm images go to Anthropic's Claude API and are deleted within 30 days of upload unless you save the reading to an account.
- Pick it if: you want both hands read together for the lowest one-time price. Skip it if: you'd rather upload one hand.
PalmVision: best for palm reading combined with astrology
PalmVision scans your palm with your device camera. The free scan gives a hand type, a zodiac sign match and a personality snapshot.
- Price: all one-time (pricing): $4.95 for a 13-section palm report with a 12-month forecast and PDF, $9.95 (sale) to add a birth chart and numerology, $29.95 for the full bundle.
- Privacy: its homepage says analysis happens on your device, while its privacy policy says palm images are sent to OpenAI for analysis and kept for 90 days. If privacy matters to you, ask them which applies.
- Pick it if: you want palm reading and astrology in one report. Skip it if: you want the policy wording to be consistent before you upload.
ChatGPT: best if you already pay for it and like to experiment
You can upload a palm photo to ChatGPT and ask for a reading. It costs nothing extra if you already use it, and you can ask follow-up questions.
- Price: the free plan allows a limited number of image uploads; paid plans raise the limits.
- Trade-offs: there is no fixed palmistry method, so results depend on your prompt and can change if you ask again. General chat models also tend to state lines confidently even when the photo doesn't show them clearly.
- Privacy: by default, consumer ChatGPT conversations, including uploads, can be used to improve OpenAI's models; you can turn this off in Settings → Data Controls.
- Pick it if: you want an open-ended conversation about your palm. Skip it if: you want a structured report you can keep.
PalmReading.pro (ours): best for one quick reading with no app and no subscription
PalmReading.pro is a browser-based reader: upload one palm photo on your phone or computer and the free preview appears on the same page in about 30 seconds, with no signup.
- Price: the free preview covers the life, heart and head lines, a personality snapshot and previews of love and career. The full report is $3.99 one-time (¥500 on the Japanese site) and adds full chapters, mounts and fingers, an illustrated palm map, and an email copy. No subscription.
- Privacy: photos are sent to our AI providers (listed in our privacy policy), deleted automatically 30 days after upload, and never used to train models or sold.
- Limits: one hand per reading (upload the other hand as a second reading to compare), no tarot or astrology, no native app, and no PDF download.
- Pick it if: you want a fast, one-off reading without installing anything or starting a subscription. More detail on how PalmReading.pro works.

What About Live Psychic Palm Readers?
Marketplaces such as Kasamba and Keen connect you with human readers who charge per minute, usually after a short free trial. They are a different product: a live conversation rather than a photo analysis, with prices set by each reader. Choose them if talking to a person matters more to you than speed or price.
How to Choose
- "I just want to try it once, free." Any of the browser tools. PalmReading.pro and ThePalmReading.com need no account for the free part.
- "I don't want a subscription." ThePalmReading.com ($2.99), PalmReading.pro ($3.99) and PalmVision ($4.95) are all one-time payments.
- "I want both hands read together." ThePalmReading.com.
- "I want an iPhone app with daily content." Palmist.
- "I want tarot or astrology too." PalmHD (tarot and horoscopes) or PalmVision (birth chart).
- "Privacy is my main concern." Read the retention line in the table above. PalmReading.pro and ThePalmReading.com both delete photos within 30 days; check any policy that keeps photos until you act.
Getting a Good Reading From Any App
Every tool on this list reads lines from a photo, so the photo matters more than the app:
- Use daylight or a bright, even light. Avoid a single lamp that casts shadows across the palm.
- Open your hand flat with the fingers slightly apart, and fill most of the frame with the palm.
- Hold the phone parallel to your palm and tap to focus on the center of the palm.
- Start with your dominant hand; see which hand to read.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best free AI palm reading app?
For a free reading without installing anything, use a browser tool: PalmReading.pro and ThePalmReading.com both give a free reading with no account. On the App Store, Palmist and PalmHD are free to download, but their main features sit behind a trial or in-app purchases.
Is there a palm reading app without a subscription?
Yes. ThePalmReading.com ($2.99), PalmReading.pro ($3.99) and PalmVision ($4.95) charge once. Palmist's main plan is a weekly or monthly subscription.
Can AI really read your palm?
AI can locate the visible lines, mounts and hand shape in a clear photo and interpret them by traditional palmistry rules. It can't predict the future; neither can a human palm reader. Treat any reading as entertainment and a prompt for self-reflection. Our palm reading guide explains what each line traditionally means.
Is it safe to upload a photo of my palm?
A palm photo is personal data, so check the tool's privacy policy for three things: which AI company receives the photo, how long it is kept, and whether it can be used for training or research. The table at the top of this page summarizes each tool's answer.
